Investor
On September 6, 2014, the Minister of Justice of Curaçao introduced a permit for temporary residence or residence for investors, named Wealthy investor 2014. The Wealthy investor 2014 is for bona fide wealthy investors, who apply for admission to Curaçao. Wealthy investors should be of essential importance to Curaçao. The investment should provide additional employment, bring in foreign currency or stimulate the economic development of Curaçao. The Wealthy investor 2014 is intended to facilitate wealthy investors who wish to stay in Curaçao for a period of more than 6 months per year.
Conditions
For the permit for temporary residence with the purpose of “wealthy investor”, the foreign national must permanently and independently have sufficient means of subsistence to be able to fulfill the obligations arising from the investment, in which the foreign national must demonstrate by means of official documents to have made or intends to make a business investment with a value of at least Ang. 500,000.00. The validity of the permit depends on the value of the investment.
These are as follows:
- In case of a business investment from Ang. 500.000,00 the residence permit shall be issued for a period of 3 years.
- In case of a business investment from Ang. 750.000,00 the residence permit shall be issued for a period of 5 years.
- In case of a business investment from Ang. 1.500.000,00 the residence permit shall be issued for an indefinite period of time.
COSTS
Fees and retributions are due before submitting the application. The amount to be paid depends on the investment.

SUBMITTING THE APPLICATION
Before submitting the application, make sure you have collected all the requirements. If so, the application can be submitted. All requirements must be scanned in PDF format. Click here to submit the application.
DECIDING ON YOUR APPLICATION
After the application has been submitted, the Admission Office has 4 months to take a decision on your application. You must await the decision on a first application abroad. After the decision is ready, it will be e-mailed to you.
If you have received a positive decision, you must make an appointment to receive the residence permit. Click here to make the appointment.
If you have received a negative decision, you then have 6 weeks to submit a notice of objection. The notice of objection must be e-mailed to info@immigrationcur.org.
